Many thanks go out to so many people that helped make our event weekend memorable and enjoyable for the 150+ bears, cubs and admirers that visited us here in Erie, PA. Most importantly, our attendees provided the right mixture of great men for relaxing times and fun, all in just a few short days.
Now that things are winding down, we're working on updating the website with picture galleries from our run participants as well as a reprise of what took place for those that were not here to join us. We're also going to be adding to the website a feedback area for folks to let us know how they felt the run was for them personally. Look for that update to be added here very soon!
If you did attend and have pictures, comments, and the like to provide, please feel free to e-mail us here at info@drenchedfur.com with any and all of the previously mentioned items. We welcome everyone's perspectives on how we did and can improve for the future.
Also during the run weekend, deleto productions began the process of creating an artistic documentary based on filming and photography taken during the weekend. Their intent is to piece together a documentary about bear culture. The bear movement, although very large and growing, is still not represented in the mainstream media and misunderstood by many in the gay community. deleto productions spent time talking to individuals about the bear culture and their relationships with the movement and each other. The documentary's purpose is to look deeper into the movement and perspective of bear life and culture through the eyes of individuals attending a bear run. Look for exciting updates on the film to come soon as details develop including the World Premiere of the final cut.
Again we thank everyone who helped us and we look forward to beginning plans for next year's run weekend in 2007.
